West Bromwich Albion Football Club was founded in 1878 and has hosted their matches in The Hawthorns, since 1900. One of the 12 founding members of the Football League, this places West Brom in august company as one of the founding football clubs of the first professional football league in the world.

Though today they have a slight reputation as a yo-yo club, travelling between the top two leagues of English football, West Bromwich Albion have indeed spent the majority of their history as a top flight side, and have done so for 81 seasons. Indeed, West Bromwich Albion have one league title to their name, and have come up second best twice. They have also won 5 FA Cups, their first most notably - coming in the first year they were founded - while also losing 5 other FA Cup finals.

West Bromiwch Albion's have played in their recognisable navy blue and white stripes for most of their history, and maintains a fierce rivalry with fellow Midlands clubs Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers, the latter of which they contest the Black Country derby, which we will have the privelege of witnessing twice this season due to West Bromwich Albion's return to the top flight of English football!
